MORE INFO COMING ON THIS LONG TIME FAMILY OWNED 1933 Buick 67 Series 4 dr Sedan older full restoration still in excellent condition.
The current owners parents where born in the 30"s,, they purchased this 1933 Buick Model 67 in the early 80"s and in 1986 had Gary DeCrane's Vintage Wheels in Woodhull, Illinois restore it to its FULL GLORY in October of 1988 at a 1988 COST of $33,000.00.(27 years ago, what would that equate to in todays dollars) It was enjoyed and shown regularly in the mid-west car shows in the 1990's. The wife passied away in 1997, and he moved to Texas and took the Buick for an occassional spin. He passed away in 2011, and now their kids(in their50's are ready to pass this special Buick piece of History on to a caring new owner.
In 1933 the country was in the depths of the Great Depression with unemployment at about 25%. Franklin Roosevelt became the 32nd President and subsequently introduced The New Deal. The Twenty-first amendment, ending prohibition, was passed.
Buick produced 19 models in 11933, with approximaely half of them the Model 57, a 4-door seden. Buick only made 7,450 of the Model 67"s, with the price of $1,310.00.
This beauty i powered by Buick 97 HP 272.6 cubinc inch stgraight-eight, which runs like a sewing machine and drives great. All windows are clear and dunctional and all doors shut tight. The roof and tires are in very good condition. There is NO RUST, yet there are a few very minor paint issues. The interior is as original and beautiful. The Odometer registers 2149. We only make the assumption that when the car was fully restored the odometer was reset to 0.This is a real special car that is easy to work on and really a lot of fun to drive.
